Mason Reeves, 4, plays with his own shovel as he, his mother, Sheryl, and others wait to begin the ground breaking ceremony for the new elementary school for the community of Lincoln southeast of Bismarck on Monday. The school site, located near the intersection of Lincoln Road and 66th Street, was approved last week as part of an $86.5 million Bismarck school bond vote with more than an 85 percent win. Sheryl Reeves said she and her husband have lived in Lincoln for 12 years and had always hoped for the town to build a school for their son to attend. The northwest elementary groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the future school site east of Washington Street and south of 57th Avenue north of Bismarck.
